New York Times' New Digital Subscription Model

From Melissa Grimes:

In order to secure their future in the ever-progressing digital world, like so many other news sources, the New York Times is going digital. In mid-March they tested their digital subscriptions in Canada, working out all of the kinks, before launching in the U.S. and globally. They are offering three different subscription packages, based on the readers needs. This subscription option plan is a really smart move, by giving their readers choices, kind of like television gives its viewers, it will more easily integrate them into the new digital changes. Other newspapers and magazines need to pay attention, if the New York Times caved and finally went digital I would say to follow in their footsteps quickly or your publication may become extinct.
