Goin' Mobile: Newspapers, Magazines Up

New research reports from ComScore and GfK include some good news for newspaper and magazine companies.
Tablet owners are increasingly using their devices to access content from newspapers and magazines.

at least weekly
13.3%
1-3 times a month
14.6%

Currently tablet use accounts for about 7% of all newspaper page views.
Research is also showing strong revenue potential from tablet owners from both advertising and  subscriptions.  The two studies continue to show tablet owners who read newspapers and magazines on their devices are a valuable audience for advertising - skewing male, younger, with higher incomes.  Studies are also finding tablet advertising embedded in the newspaper or magazine content is read or noticed by tablet users, and that when those tablet ads are read or noticed, there's a high degree of reader engagement with the ad.
